Wardrobe

I feel like I haven't been having enough fun with drawing in recent months, so I decided to just do some quick little personal drawings to take an inventory of my favorite clothes. :D



I had a lot of fun making the graphic shapes. Trying to work a lot of the Straights vs. Curves :D

Retracing footsteps

I feel like I've fallen into a slump these last couple of weeks. It's one of those times when everything you do feels completely meaningless and you have no idea why you do anything you do. Right now I don't really feel like doing anything other than lying around and playing games or reading books, or maybe travelling a bit. But life goes on as it always does, I suppose, and I have to find a way to roll with it regardless. 

I was going to apply for the portfolio review this semester and I spent a while over this break putting things together, but I decided to put it off until next semester. I feel like I didn't do enough extracurricular explorations of my own and that I don't have enough things to put in. Hopefully by summer, I'll have restored my urge to work again, but honestly, the sooner it comes back, the better. ;w; 

Sometimes looking at old things that I like helps. Here's some stuff from the last couple of semesters -- mostly figure drawings -- that I was fairly happy with. The last one is a self-portrait in gouache that I never got around to finishing. 

Day 10 - Succubus

Flat colors was harder and more painstaking than painting, for some reason.

The hair was super fun though, haha.

Day 11 - True Monster

I'm skipping Day 10 Succubus for now, because even though I'd had the sketch for her done for a few days now, I suddenly got a better idea and was then, of course, totally dissatisfied with my current sketch haha xD So I'll be working on her tomorrow. 

As for this one, well...

Um...

She sells flowers(?) and is actually really nice.
But most people are too afraid of her looks to approach :P

Totally behind lol - although in my defense, my computer is so full of lag that it's really hard to do anything D: Come on, laptop! I need you to last another couple of years! *begs*
Maybe it needs some Sriracha sauce... O.o
